What we can offer

Tanker jetting & vacuumation

Sometimes drainage problems can be a result of something that has built up in your sewer. It may be that silt or debris has been building up more and more, something that can’t be easily cleared out by our other drainage methods. Alternatively, you may need to clear / empty septic tanks, interceptors, road gullies or larger diameter pipework. If this is the case, you need something more powerful and this is where tanker jetting & vacuumation may be necessary.

All waste collected from any site is disposed of to a licensed processing centre in which it will be
disposed to accordance of environmental legislation, we even handle all paperwork and send to the customer when the job is complete.

Tanker jetting

At Shell Drainage, we use Jet-Vac tankers in order to clear larger drainage systems. The reason that
jetting is done is that sometimes a blockage can’t be cleared by our other methods.

On a basic level, the Jet-Vac is used to clear away whatever may be blocking the larger diameter pipes, large gullies or septic tanks. If you want the water to flow properly around your house, then the blockage has to be High Pressure Water Jetted with our larger jetting unit in order to be cleared.

It can be that you need to get rid of months’ worth of nappies, disposable wipes, silt, and other items that build up in the drainage system.
Another potential issue is kitchen grease.

A bit of fat here and then poured down the sink can build up over time, until there is a large amount that is stopping the water flow in the kitchen, often resulting in a nasty smell. In other cases, it may be the case that deposits have hardened over the pipes or there is an object blocking the flow.

Vacuumation

As the name suggests, vacuumation uses a vacuum process in order to clear out debris. On top of removing anything that might be clogging up the system, it can also be used as a preventative measure, clearing out the system so there is less need for further deep cleaning at a later point.

We use the vacuumation to remove the silt & other debris that build up over time and restrict the flow of the drainage system.
